Mondelez Positioning is Paying Off
Source: (Food Bus News Feb. 17)

Ms. Rosenfeld said a strategy of placing particular focus on power brands is paying off with growth for these products “twice as fast as the overall company.” Power brands currently account for 70% of revenue at Mondelez and enjoy operating margins 100 to 200 basis points higher than the company’s other brands. POI Perspective
New for you at the POI Spring Summit in April – In order to create additional interest, engagement, and excitement in various processes, and applications of business analytics, POI is holding a poster session that includes those CPG and Retailer attendees interested in creating greater visibility around some of their more interesting and innovative projects, or applications.

The poster session is a combined effort with industry, and academia (including Graduate Students from the Saint Joseph’s University Business Intelligence, and Analytics program), and will be a combined effort of a corporate sponsor and students. The sponsor can be a manufacturer, retailer, or solutions vendor.  The sponsor will layout in whatever level of detail he or she desires and the student will collaborate, then create the poster.   The corporate sponsors and students will coordinate their efforts virtually, then meet at the POI Summit in person.  Students will have the opportunity to work with the corporate sponsor and learn via the creation of the poster and the interaction with the corporate sponsor.  The corporate sponsor has the opportunity to present their materials with the minimal effort.
Your poster should demonstrate a business problem or opportunity and how this was addressed using analytics.    If the sponsor wishes to provide results, it would be most useful.
Posters will be on display in the exhibit area at the POI meeting, and time will be given for the corporate/student team to be available to discuss their poster during the conference.  Founding University and Corporate Sponsors for this initiative include Mike Marzano, Solutions Process Expert, Retail Execution, Mondelez, John L Stanton, PhD, and Ron Klimberg, PhD, both at Saint Joseph’s University.  More details will follow, if you are interested in submitting a poster, and working with the students, please reach Mike Kantor, CEO at POI with Subject Line “Poster Session at POI Chicago” at mkantor@p-o-i.org
If you did not receive your invitation to attend POI Chicago, or POI Brussels, please reach me at mkantor@p-o-i.org for your invitation.  You will learn from sessions including:
