As we settle into 2015, there are certain trends and realities of our industry that are coming to fruition based on constant change. Consumers, economics, technology, media (and its consumption), and store formats will continue to evolve. Today, CPG’s and Retailers that operate globally continue to make decisions and execute locally (albeit with different variables and constraints) to serve a shared consumer. Perhaps the next report I’ll read will be something on predictions for our business environment in 2030. However, at POI, we’ll focus on what our growing global community needs now, and into the next few years to win with their teams, and trading partners. Going to market in North America versus Europe is vastly different, yet there are certain processes, and opportunities for improvement whether you are at POI Geneva, CH, or POI Chicago, IL that drive profitable growth.
