POI Perspective

Happy New Year to all of you who are connected to us at the Promotion Optimization Institute! We enter this year with same excitement, and desire to improve sales, marketing, and merchandising results, and measurement for continuous improvement as when we first started! Innovation and Collaboration was the cornerstone for founding POI, and each year we lead with new initiatives, as we foster an environment that promotes advancement for our Members/Attendees to achieve excellence with their TPM-TPO-Collaborative Marketing education, processes, cultures, and technologies in this consumer-centric and promotion-driven business .

The POI and our Members are always engaged with new initiatives and challenges with the Retail/CPG industries we serve. In 2015 we continue to lead where you/your companies have not ventured before with best pricing and promotional practices, effectiveness, and return on investment. It would all be hyperbole if POI as a Membership Association did not take equally bold steps in leadership and growth.

POI’s mission has always been to lead the emergent Retail Marketing profession by developing, advancing, and disseminating Trade Marketing and Merchandising knowledge and education. We never intended this to be limited to North America, and as many of our members operate globally, we are excited to lead in Europe with the first of its kind Promotion Optimization Summit in Geneva Switzerland! It’s a bold move (not unlike the bold moves we advocate for our members to take on), and we are proud to focus on the differences, and the similarities of go to market strategies related to TPM, Pricing, Revenue Management, Big Data, and Collaboration.

As digital marketing, advanced analytics, and online retailing is growing rapidly, we go into this year with our board, programs, members, and you prepared to lead and build on our collective successes and take on new initiatives that drive mutual and profitable growth. Reach me at mkantor@p-o-i.org to express how you’d like to participate at POI this year!

If you have not participated at one of our events, resolve to join us in April in Chicago, or Geneva, Switzerland in May – Registration is open!

Have a sensational week and a Happy, Healthy, and Successful New Year!
