POI Perspective
The sold out POI Spring Summit in Chicago last week started with Uptown Funk, 300 in attendance, and a vibe that let everyone know that something meaningful, and exciting was taking place over the next two days. It followed by genuine care and concern by the POI Board as introduced by Dr. John L Stanton, at Saint Joseph’s University “that this group should learn from the POI Experience”, followed by extraordinary Keynotes and detailed and deep sessions on everything needed to succeed with teams and trading partners. But, rather than describe it with my words, I’ll share with you some of yours here that will help all POI Pulse readers gain insights on this record setting POI Summit: “Thank you very much for inviting PepsiCo Nutrition to the POI Spring Summit. All our attendees were impressed with the sessions and made important industry connections (including vendors) we only would have learned about through your conference. Thank you again for the invitations and the insights.” “Thank you for your continued leadership in this space in our industry. It has been a few years since I personally have been able to attend this meeting. The content presented and the dialogues that followed were simply best in class collaboration.” “We appreciate the hospitality of you and your team that was extended throughout the conference. We were able to connect with some key individuals during the event and had a very open dialog about topics that are very important to us, which makes the investment of time worthwhile. Thanks again, we look forward to seeing you in the fall.” “Yet another great conference. Each summit continues to add more and more relevant content. The POI summit is the only conference I attend because it offers a wide array of subjects and depth. I especially like the forward thinking you bring every year with agenda items that don’t just reference where we have been but rather where we are headed.” The sessions were followed by an engaging and fun cocktail reception, then several attendees took on Chicago at a Cubs game, the British Consulate, Eataly, and more. The POI team is headed for Geneva, Switzerland to serve our Global Community Globally on May 12-13. Please save the date for the POI Fall Summit, as that is already filling up. You may register now, and reserve your place at the Summit. And, we have a head start on the agenda which will be meaningful and advanced once again – “don’t believe me, just watch”!!
